Universal modding framework

Mod any game. Keep the mod when the game patches.

Axiom puts one capability API over injected native games, managed runtimes and emulated consoles. Mods are sandboxed WebAssembly by default, so they survive a game update, an architecture change and a backend swap.

Backends

Three kinds of target, one contract.

A backend implements nine primitives and declares which of them work. Your mod is checked against that list before it loads, so nothing fails halfway through a session.

Native injected

Detours, VMT, IAT and GOT on Windows, Linux and macOS. Everything works here.

9 of 9 primitives
Managed runtime

JVM, CLR and Mono. Symbols come from reflection, hooks from bytecode transforms.

8 of 9 primitives
Emulated and console

A shim inside the emulator exposes the guest address space over a local socket.

Tiers

Pick a tier before a language.

Tier W · default
WebAssembly

Sandboxed and portable. One artifact runs on every backend and architecture, hot-reloads in under a second, and cannot crash the game.

C++ · Rust · Zig · C# · Go
Tier N · trusted
Native C ABI

No boundary, no sandbox, no excuses. For renderers and anything that has to live inside the game's own frame budget.

signed · prompted once · never auto-updated
Tier S · script
Lua and JS

One file, no build step, instant reload. For config tweaks, event handlers and the thing you want working tonight.

hosted by a first-party native mod

The parts nobody wants to write twice.

Packs

Signatures, offsets and struct layouts live in a pack, versioned per game and published by anyone. A patch breaks one pack, not every mod in the scene.

Load order that resolves

A dependency sort with deterministic tie-breaks. Conflicts, missing dependencies and unofferable capabilities are caught before any mod runs.

An overlay you get for free

Declare a config schema and your mod has a settings panel, hotkeys, a console and a per-mod frame budget without writing UI code.

One hook per function

The core owns the trampoline and fans out to subscribers by priority. Two mods hooking the same function is normal, not a bug hunt.

Signed packages

Content-addressed, with the manifest readable before download so dependencies resolve without unpacking anything.

Crash attribution

A faulting mod is named and offered for disable on next launch, instead of leaving you with a game that will not start.

Axiom does not attach to protected processes.

Backends refuse any process with a known kernel anticheat driver loaded, and the registry marks those titles as blocked. Single-player, private servers, dedicated servers and emulated titles are the target. This is a design constraint we build around, not a warning we bury. Read the policy.
